I was considering the number of posts/day, rather than the cumulative posts that any individual has registered. For the last quarter of '05, the forum was seeing a handful of posts each week.

This is in contrast to the fact that is was fewer than our most prolific poster has managed on the average day all by herself, let alone the forum as a whole, since the last week of so of December.

Yeah I have a high post count per day, this forum is something to do between classes for me, and something to do at night between homework assignments.

Heh heh. I wonder if that's a good thing or a bad thing?

As I said earlier, I do prescribe to the tenet, "Earn your idiocy". A combination of flying phalanges, hyperactive neurocircuits, being isolated in my laboratory for the time being (damn gubbermint!) and thus having plenty of free time to exploit, and having something to chip in on virtually all matters NGE (due to Indiscriminate and Unconditional Love, and obsessively studying it, and all...) contributes to that ludicrous post count.

But the post count itself ultimately doesn't mean anything, like I said... Just a number. It's what's in them.

zOMG! Three new prelim pages! For my own insidious purposes, but you can enjoy them, too.

That's three down, about... :starts counting on fingers: Ah, forget it. I'll just work my arse off while I can.* The world needs a good KKKK thread. (And we can go into all sorts of beautiful places from there.)

BTW, the early Fuyutsuki/Gendo tension is fun. I love those two.

"You hate me now, but you will be my toadie and my best buddy later. And you'll love my wife forever. Sucks to be you!"
"Grrrrr! Seele! Second Impact! Ikari! Child! United Nations! Cover-up! Keel! Argh!"
"Join me, and we can rule the galaxy as... whatever. You know you wanna."
"As long as Yui-kun is involved and we get to kick Seele's arse later, sure. Just don't make me do lots of standing."

There is some new material (5.1 dialogue) during Yui's CE, as well, along with other stuff I haven't seen translated before. Scope it out.

I updated this one, too, but still no closeups to speak of. Maybe later.

Episode #21, Scene 1: Adam

Missing numbers will be added en masse at some later point. :eyes stack of materials-to-be-scanned:

Enjoy, kiddles. ...Sleep, you say? "Sleep is for the weak."

* Resume review next week with job agency person, and, since I'll probably have to wait forever for the next time, I'm going to start biding some of my time volunteering at a library, since staying here all day long is getting vel-ly old. There will be much rejoicing.

You mean Toji's Eva? It was 'possessed' and taken over by the Thirteenth Angel, Bardiel. "A fungus is among us!"
This is sorta OT for this thread...

In #21':080, perhaps "perturbed" is the word you're looking for.

Also, are you sure about the description in #21':084. This seems to play out a lot differently onscreen.

I'd reach for "gutted" in the context.

They're using an onomatopoeia (MU'!) to describe his reaction. Japanese does this a lot. They throw their "sound effect words" EVERYwhere. I suppose you could think of it in terms of something like, "I was all, ARGH!!!" (First example that comes to mind.)

I just bothered to look at a list of onomatopoeia that I have lying around, since the thought didn't occur before:

And here's some of the stuff at SpaceAlc for phrases including MU'. I think "miffed" is probably the best option after all.

How so? I looked at the econte, and it seems to be pretty much the same as the final, just crappy-looking in that storyboard kind of way. Which part of the description sounds off to you?

Then the UK slang "gutted" - intense disappointment and a reaction akin to having been gut-punched - does fit.

BTW typo in cut 327

Fuyutsuki "This incident of full of mysteries."

should be "is", I guess.

I have a question about 23' scene 4:127, 130, and 132. If you look at the picture and the water surrounding Angel Rei, does she have "fluid" coming out from her groin area and discoloring the water? Or is it just the typical "showing fluid current based on object in water"? Because usually the latter is drawn from the edges of the object, not the middle, as the fluid wraps around the object, and it's usually a lighter shade than the fluid rather than darker.

Or I am just imagining/reading too much into things? If this has been talked about (I couldn't find anything with search) let me know.

Oh, that's another twisted menstrual reference, tho I have no idea why it's there... Another place, another time, I suppose. (Any thoughts should probably go into the Angel thread. More Apostle blood, and all. ) I should add some closeups for that scene, shouldn't I? "EAT MY PAIN!!!"

@Steve: Thanks, I'll fix the typo. But methinks I'll save the "gutting" for later...

Just the part about Gendou having a "suspect" grin. I would have always decribed his expression as softening here.

EDIT:
Actually, the script seems to portray a much more acrimonious exchange in this first scene than is actually played out. Fuyutsuki certainly does not sound "bitter" in 078, and Gendou could harly be described as scowling in 084. The mood portrayed on paper is more fitting to the second part of their conversation than the first. I wonder if the tone was changed after the script had been written.
