2011 Best Anime Film Nominees Announced
|The 35th annual Japan Academy Prize announced its final nominees on Monday. Candidates for best anime film of 2011 are:
K-On!
Kokurikozaka Kara
Meitantei Conan: Chinmoku no Quarter
Tezuka Osamu no Buddha: Akai Sabaku yo! Utsukushiku
Tofu Kozo
The winner will be announced during the official awards ceremony on March 2nd.
I won’t be surprised at all to see Ghibli’s Kokurikozaka Kara take the win. The annual Detective Conan movies have been nominated for the past six straight years – every year that an award has been presented for best animated film – but never won.

But that doesn’t explains why Ghibli movies are getting more boring each year =(
