4 Manga Nominated for Harveys

The executive committee for the Harvey Awards, America’s most prestigious recognition within the comic book industry, has announced its nominations for its 2009 awards. The category of “Best American Edition of Foreign Material” includes four Japanese titles and one French work. The nominees are:

The Art of Osamu Tezuka: God of Manga, published in English by Abrams ComicArts
Manga Kamishibai, published in English by Abrams ComicArts
Pluto: Urasawa X Tezuka, published in English by Viz Media
20th Century Boys, published in English by Viz Media
The Photographer, published in English by First Second

The 2009 Harvey Award winners will be announced in a ceremony at the Baltimore Comic-Con on August, 28, 2010.
