4Kids Reports Declines in Profits

According to ICv2 News, 4Kids Entertainment has announced second quarter 2005 drops of 14% in sales and 68% in earnings compared to the same time period last year. 4Kids had $22.1 million in sales during second quarter 2004 but only $19 million this year; and $2 million in second quarter 2004 earnings compared to $631,000 this year.

CEO Al Kahn attributed the decline to lower home video and international TV sales, and dropping sales of Yu-Gi-Oh! and Kirby merchandise.
