Dark Horse Announcements from Sakura Con

Seemingly slightly overlooked, Dark Horse Comics announced its acquisition of several new Asian comic titles at the recent Sakura Con anime convention.

On October 18th Dark Horse will publish Hiroaki Samura’s anthology manga Ohikkoshi. Dark Horse also has plans to release a number of Yoshitaka Amano artbooks and a Samurai Champloo TV anime artbook.

Dark Horse has acquired translation rights to the Korean comic series Banya The Explosive Delivery Man, Shaman Warrior and Access Hybrid.

Gunsmith Cats will be re-released next year in an uncensored, Japanese format release. If Dark Horse’s right-to-left Japanese style releases sell well, other titles such as “Shadow Star” (Narutaru) may get an uncensored American re-release.
