Anime Is Most Downloaded Content On Winny

According to current statistics, more than a quarter of all downloads on the popular Japanese file sharing network Winny consist of illegally distributed mainstream anime. An estimated 27 out of every 30 downloads at any given time among Japanese Winny users are anime episodes. An estimated 400,000-450,000 people use Japanese file sharing programs every day, and anime episodes are now the most frequently transferred data on Japan’s most popular file sharing network.
