Genius Party Beyond Trailer Online

The official Genius Party website now hosts a streaming trailer for the upcoming anthology film Genius Party Beyond. The film features shorts from:

Mahiro Maeda (Blue Submarine No. 6, The Animatrix’s Second Renaissance)
Kazuto Nakazawa (Kill Bill: Volume 1’s anime sequence, Comedy)
Shinya Ohira (key animator on Innocence, Akira, Howl’s Moving Castle)
Tatsuyuki Tanaka (key animator on Banipal Witt, Noiseman)
Koji Morimoto (Noiseman, “Magnetic Rose” segment of Memories)

The film is scheduled for Japanese release later this year.

Mahiro Maeda’s “Gala” segment looks like a lot of fun. Check out the fantastic character movement animation in Tatsuyuki Tanaka “Toujin Kita” segment, and some of the amazing shots in Morimoto’s “Dimension Bomb” segment. This ought to be good!
