Live-Action Neko Ramen Movie Announced

The official website for the Neko Ramen anime series, based on Kenji Sonishi’s 4-koma comic, has announced that director Minoru Kawasaki will helm a live action feature film version of Neko Ramen titled “Neko Ramen Taisho” (“Captain Neko Ramen”). Kawasaki is a veteran of helming odd live action comedies about human sized talking animals living and working in human society, having previously directed films including The Calamari Wrestler, Executive Koala, and Crab Goalkeeper.

The 2007 Neko Ramen television series with English subtitles is officially available for free download from Vuze. As the series title implies, the story is about a cat that runs a ramen noodle restaurant.
