Toynami to Resurrect Vintage Macross Toys

Toynami has announced plans to reproduce a line of 1/55 scale (roughly 9 1/2 inches tall in battroid mode) transformable Macross valkyrie toys based on the original Japanese toys produced by Macross creator Shoji Kawamori and the Takatoku toy company in 1982. Anniversary editions of the 1/55 scale Superdimensional Fortress Macross VF-1S and VF-1J valkyries will go on sale this summer. The Macross: Do You Remember Love movie version armored VF-1A Super Valkyrie will be released this fall. 1/55 veritech toys from the Robotech line will debut next year. Toynami plans to eventually release all known 1/55 valkyrie toys, including rare and exotic variants. Toynami’s release will mark the first time that these toys have been offered officially outside of Japan under both the Robotech and Macross brands.
