Tezuka Works to be Accessible Free Online

Tezuka Productions, the production and management studio founded by the late Osamu Tezuka, has launched the global Tezuka Osamu website that will offer free access to all of Osamu Tezuka’s creative works from prior to 2000. Over a period of three years, 700 manga titles and 100 anime titles will be added to the site. The Japanese language version of the site already hosts a number of manga and anime. Anime titles are available streaming. Access to manga require installation of a free Windows Internet Explorer browser plug-in.

The effort commemorates the 80th anniversary of Osamu Tezuka’s birth. Tezuka is one of the world’s most revered comic creators, having penned titles including Astro Boy, Black Jack, Jungle Emperor, Phoenix, and Princess Knight.
