YTV to Broadcast Pretty Cure

Animation Magazine reports that Canada’s YTV broadcast network will air the first season of the Pretty Cure anime television series early next year. 4Kids Entertainment licensed the series for American broadcast in 2006, but never released any episodes. Toei began distributing English subtitled episodes online, through the IGN Direct2Drive and Crunchyroll websites earlier this year.

C21 Media reports that series protagonists Nagisa and Honoka will be re-named “Natalie” and “Hannah” in YTV’s English dub.
