Denpa Teki na Kanojo Release Scheduled

According to an anonymous post on Japan’s 2 Channel message board, the Denpa Teki na Kanojo (Electromagnetic Girlfriend) anime, first announced last September, will be a 40 minute long OVA released with limited edition copies of the third volume of Kentaro Katayama & Yamato Yamamoto’s Kure-nai manga series, released on May 1, 2009. Katayama & Yamamoto created both the Kure-nai and “Denpa Teki” novel series, and both series are set in a shared continuity.

Mamoru Kanbe (I”s Pure, Elfen Lied) will direct the OVA written by Hiroyuki Yoshino (My-HiME, Macross Frontier). Brains Base (Kamichu!, Kure-nai, Natsume Yujin-Cho) will animate the production.
