Disney XD to Air Naruto Shippuden
Viz Media has announced that the Disney XD cable network will broadcast weekly English dubbed episodes of Naruto Shippuden beginning in October. The series made its American debut via online streaming last January. The first bilingual Naruto Shippuden DVD will hit retail on the 29th.

As long as there are no plans for an LA movie where they got white actors to replace the Japanese ones, as has been the case with Avatar, it’s all good. [“But Naruto’s technically a fox, so he’s not actually Asian. And besides, you’re not giving Nick Carter a chance!” =p]
Why are so many people upset over the casting for Avatar? The non-Asian casting in Dragonball Evolution and Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun Li hasn’t received criticism as racially based decisions. I care more about the acting than about the ethnic pedigree of the actors themselves.
For example: Who would like to see Samuel L. Jackson play Gendo Ikari in a live-action NGE movie?
I would. He’s already played a katana-wielding badass, so why not?
