New Mai Mai Miracle Trailer
Japanese entertainment producer/distributor Avex has released a new 100 second trailer for Madhouse’s upcoming anime film Mai Mai Miracle (Mai Mai Shinko to Sennen no Maho). The film hits Japanese theaters on November 21st.
The more I see of this, the more anxious I am to watch it. I think I’m actually even more eager to see this film than Summer Wars and Cencoroll. Beautiful & charming anime like this don’t come along often enough.

I was expecting less of a Ghibli look-alike, but I might give it the benefit of the doubt, if I ever get the opportunity to see it. I think the last Madhouse production I was interested in was Piano no Mori.
Gats: The director’s previous flick (Princess Arete) is also a Ghibli look-alike, though beyond that it’s pretty different.
I’ve been cautiously looking forward to Mai Mai ever since it was first announced. These trailers do make it look pretty nice.
I have the same impression. Watching this trailer made me think of the wonderful Piano no Mori movie, but this looks to have a much stronger fantasy element than Piano no Mori did.
