Action Figure Updates

The July issue of Diamond’s Previews magazine is showing the next sets of the Lego-man like Kubrick sets. The Tetsujin 28/ Gigantor set D will include Tetsujin 28, Black Ox, and Shotaro/ Jimmy Sparks with control unit. Neon Genesis Evangelion set D, the fourth Neon Genesis Evangelion set, includes the 1st Child Rei Ayanami, EVA-00 with n2 mine, and the angel Lilith. Each features articulated limbs and stands approximately 2 1/2″ tall for $12.99.

Irwin has updated the packaging for their Dragon Ball Z line, starting with series 14. The classy new backing cards have been totally redesigned, and the blister itself is embossed with a big stylized “Z.” Series 14 includes Bulma, Garlic Jr., Master Roshi, Nappa and Raditz. Irwin has also announced a list of figures from line 17 or later: Vegeta, Super Saiyan Goku, Android #17, Android #18, Piccolo, Goku, Super Saiyan Trunks, Super Saiyan Gohan, Imperfect Cell and Super Saiyan Vegeta.

Viz will be importing resin Escaflowne statues of Hitomi and the Escaflowne mech. Hitomi stands 12″ high and retails for $89.99. The Escaflowne stands 10″ high and retails for $129.99.
