Sydney Olympics Arts Festival

The major film component of the Sydney 2000 Olympic Arts Festival will be a five day celebration of Japanese Animation, entitled: “Japanime.” The big news is that Mamoru Oshii and Mitsuhisa Ishikawa from Production IG will be at Japanime for the Australian premiere of their film, Blood: The Last Vampire, on Saturday August 26, at 6:45pm. There will be a 45 minute question and answer session before the film. Japanime will be showcasing many films from Studio Ghibli, and will include the Australian Premier of Princess Mononoke as well as My Neighbors the Yamadas and Kiki’s Delivery Service.
