Final Fantasy X for $10?

According to rumor in Japan, Square’s upcoming Final Fantasy X for PlayStation 2, its multi-player online RPG for use with the PlayOnline service, will sell for only $10 a copy. The disc will contain the essential elements of the game, but a large portion will apparently be dynamically updated on a regular basis via the PS2 hard drive and modem; players will be required to pay the monthly fees associated with the PlayOnline service. However, a cost of $10 per copy would certainly help soften the blow.
