Escaflowne on Fox Update

Fox Kids will begin showing Escaflowne Saturday, August 19th at 11:00 AM. According to FoxKids.com the first episode shown will be “The Girl From the Mystic Moon,” described as, “In a pillar of light, Hitomi and Prince Van are transported to Gaea, Van’s homeworld. Van returns to his country, Fanelia to be crowned king after slaying the dragon and obtaining the Energist crystal. But during the coronation ceremony, an invisible enemy invades Fanelia, and Van must retrieve Escaflowne, the legendary god that protects Fanelia.” This confirms reports that Fox will start with the second Japanese episode, entirely bypassing the high-school romance of the first episode.

The second season of Digimon will also premiere on August 19th.
