Escaflowne Movie Update

Bandai’s Anime Village is given American fans the opportunity to suggest questions for interviews with the staff of the Escaflowne movie. Anime Village representatives will be interviewing and taping key people at the Japanese premier of the Korean subtitled version of the movie. These interviews will be posted to the Anime Village web site, and will possibly be included in the American Escaflowne TV series DVDs.

The Anime Village site states, “No schedule has been set yet for the home video release [of the movie], but it is anticipated to occur after the TV series has been fully released to DVD.” Since the entire Escaflowne TV series has already been released on DVD in Japan, presumably this refers to a domestic release. Therefore, we’ll see a region 1 Escaflowne movie DVD no earlier than January 2002.
