Fred Patton on Anime

Noted American anime critic and fan Fred Patton has a very current and very informative article discussing the importation of anime into America in the current Animation World Magazine home-page. His article is targeted toward mainstream Western animation fans that are not totally familiar with anime, but the information contained in the article will be interesting to even seasoned anime veterans. Patton discusses, in detail, why anime still has a relatively insignificant theatrical presence in the United States, and makes some tentative predictions for the future.
