Escaflowne Canceled

According to an unconfirmed post by “TV Guy” to the rec.arts.anime.misc news group, Fox has officially canceled Escaflowne. “NASCAR Racers” will replace it. As an interesting addendum, episode 21-26 were pretty much untouched, save for the blood and gore and cutting to time. This includes the revelations about Dilandau’s past. The network did not consider them too controversial. In more positive news, it was hinted that Fox may possibly have Slayers premier as soon as February.
