YEEEEEES
Never got what was so good about that anime, at best is a watered down Dragon Ball ¬_¬
Sadly, I agree. I’ve never understood the devoted fascination with Hunter x Hunter, as shows like Dragon Ball, Naruto, and Bleach seem to be much more exciting.
Hunter x Hunter has a devoted following because it’s probably the smartest shonen battle manga out there. The characters’ plans and strategies could give Light Yagami and L a run for their money, and Yoshihiro Togashi puts tremendous thought in building the story’s setting and coming up with unusual powers and rule-based abilities for his characters. I just wish he could keep a regular schedule while doing that.
Comparing it with Dragon Ball is blasphemy in and of itself. While there are too much reasons to point out, I’ll give my top 3.First, like Zhou-BR said, the battles are much more exciting and mind-based. Second, the “good guys” have as much chance to be killed as the “bad guys” wherein DB\DBZ death is so cheap, it makes me vomit. Third, character development. They actually change through the series? What a shocker!
But I’m gonna force people to share my view. To each his own. But really now, seeing HxH as a “water-down Dragon Ball or Bleach” is just ridiculous and this is speaking completely objectively.
I just hope they change Gon’s seiyuu. That was the only annoying thing from the last TV series.
@ John
Seriously? well IMO Naruto is nothing compared to HxH and i never like that anime no matter how many times i watch it nothing is great about naruto aside for its huge fanbase in fact naruto fandom are annoying their just too many that’s all and don’t get me started w/ bleach!!!
