Davis Film Acquires Golgo 13 Rights
|Davis Film, the French film production studio behind movies including Crying Freeman (1995), Brotherhood of the Wolf (2001), and Solomon Kane (2009), has acquired the film adaptation rights to Takao Saito’s long-running manga series Golgo 13. The ongoing manga series about the world’s greatest marksman premiered in 1968 and has been adapted into 1973 & 1977 live action movies, a 1983 anime feature film, a 1998 OVA, and a 2008 anime television series.
Remember, folks, Golgo 13 is not an assassin. He’s a sniper, and often times his targets just happen to be people.

But will George Clooney play him again?
Actually, they made him a spy for the U.S. release of the Nintendo games. Plus, they took out the Nazi cult references, but had no problems with Duke gettin’ it on to restore his life. =p
