Sentai Acquires Ano Natsu de Matteru & Inu x Boku SS
Sentai Filmworks has announced its acquisition of domestic home video rights to this month’s new anime television series Ano Natsu de Matteru (Waiting in the Summer). The original romantic comedy story from the creators of Onegai Teacher will be released on subtitled DVD later this year. Crunchyroll will simulcast the series as it airs on Japanese television, beginning on Thursday, January 11.
Sentai has also acquired this month’s Inu x Boku SS supernatural romantic comedy television series. The adaptation of Cocoa Fujiwara’s manga about a young woman whose bodyguards are actually demons will premiere in Japan on the 12th. Sentai will stream the show early this year, and release it on DVD & BD late this year.

Hey John, how is it that Section 23 is licensing like gangbusters? Don’t get me wrong, I’m happy about it, because it seems to show that the Company is going strong. The only down side is that series one hoped would get a dub…are not. On the flip side, Funimation hasn’t been licensing much at all….are they doing OK? Any feedback on the profitability of their releases?
