You think someone will license this OVA and the TV series for the US???
I thought High School of the Dead did okay.
I finally watched that on Blu ray late last year and was impressed by the show.
I know it had a lot of fan service and there was bitching about that — what do you expect guys, and since when did so many fem-men enter the anime fandom circles??? — but the show had some fairly decent drama, good performances, and a lot of well-animated action scenes. Turned out a lot better than I expected. Fairly faithful to the manga, too.
This would seem a natural license. Teens still like cheesy horror regardless of who produces it. Some of the Japanese horror films have done decently in the US from what I gather.
