Shin Sekai Yori Anime Announced

Studio A-1 Pictures has announced plans to develop a TV anime series based on Yusuke Kishi’s award-winning 2008 sci-fi novel Shin Sekai Yori (From the New World). The novel revolves around five normal children raised peacefully in a future world ruled by telekinetic people. The children learn the true history of their world and embark on an adventure to save the world from destruction. The novel was awarded the 29th Nihon SF Taisho Award in 2008, in a tie with the Denno Coil anime series. Speed Grapher, Bincho-tan, and R.O.D. episode director Masashi Ishihama will direct the production.

This certainly seems promising.
