More HoiHoi-san Anime Announced!

Development of a new Ichigeki Sacchu!! HoiHoi-san anime was formally announced during last weekend’s Dengeki Game Festival 2012 publicity event. Specific details about the anime were not revealed. Kunihiko Tanaka’s Ichigeki Sacchu!! HoiHoi-san (One-Shot Bug Killer!! Interceptor Doll HoiHoi-san) September 2003 manga was initially adapted into a November 2003 Playstation 2 game by Konami. The original manga was then published in a collected edition in September 2004 that included a 10-minute anime OVA depicting highlight scenes from the manga. The ongoing Ichigeki Sacchu!! HoiHoi-san Legacy sequel manga premiered in September 2007.

I’m thrilled. The image above is roughly half of my Hoihoi-san collection. I own two of the regular chogokin, but I don’t like the dress color of the “heavy arms” version.
