Sentai Reveals New Acquisitions

Sentai Filmworks has formally announced its acquisition of domestic distribution rights to the Bakumatsu Kikansetsu Irohanihoheto (2006) TV series, Cluster Edge (2005) TV series and OVA series (2006), Hakuoki (2010) TV series, and current Upotte!! web anime series.

Irohanihoheto is a 26 episode samurai-era action drama created by and executive directed by Ryousuke Takahashi (Flag, Gasaraki). The series will be released domestically under the title ” Intrigue in the Bakumatsu ~ Irohanihoheto.”

The Cluster Edge bishonen fantasy adventure anime consisted of a 25-episode TV series and 3-episode OVA series. Sentai will released the franchise on subtitled DVD.

Sentai will reportedly release “all of Hakuoki that is out right now.” The bishonen samurai drama currently has two TV series and an OVA series available in Japan.

Crunchyroll is currently streaming the Upotte!! anime.
