New TV Series Premiering this January

Zoids Zero premiers on the 6th, again on TBS. This appears not to be a continuation of the first 2D/3D Zoid TV series but a new series in the same mold.

Bakuten Shoot: Beiblade will premier on the 8th on TV Tokyo. Another children’s marketing tool, a beiblade is a high-tech, customizeable toy spinning top that boys collect and play with.

Grappler Touga, a fighting adventure show, will premier on the 8th on TV Tokyo.

Chikyu Bouei Kazoku (Earth Defense Family) will premier on the 9th on unscrambled WOWOW. As previously reported, this big budget adventure show supervised by Shoji Kawamori may become the next breakthrough anime TV series hit.

Earth Girl Ajuna, another sci-fi adventure series supervised by Shoji Kawamori, will also premier on the 9th, this one on TV Tokyo.

Hakaima Sadamitsu (Sadamitsu the Destroyer): This sci-fi action/adventure will premier on unscrambled WOWOW on the 17th.
