I.G & Acer Encourage Japanese Olympians

Electronics manufacturer Acer Japan comissioned Production I.G to produce a series of original anime shorts promoting Japanese women athletes participating in this summer’s Olympic Games and promoting Acer’s slogan “Surprise Yourself.” The “Surprise 4 U” opening animation highlights female boxers Shizuyo Yamasaki & Satsuki Ito, beach volleyball players Satako Urata & Takemi Nishibori, and wrestler Kyoko Hamaguchi.

The “~Satsuki’s Strange Challenge~” (“~Satsuki no Fushigi na Chousen~”) short focuses on amateur boxing prodigy Satsuki Ito who won her first championship only a year after first trying boxing in high school.

I have to say that these are really neat!
