New Seitokai no Ichizon Trailer Released

The first trailer for AIC’s Seitokai no Ichizon (Student Council’s Discretion) anime series has premiered. The show will be the second adaptation of Sekina Aoi’s comedy light-novel series following Studio DEEN’s 2009 TV series. While Kumi Horii provided character design for the 2009 anime, veteran animator but first time character designer Masahito Onoda performs the task for the 2012 version. Most of the 2009 series cast will reprise their roles, but Chizuru Akaba will now be portrayed by Mina, and character Mafuyu Shiina will now be played by Iori Nomizu. The new adaptation will stream on Nico Nico this October and presumably air on Japanese TV.

The background art and character design both look like they’ve taken a big step backwards from the 2009 versions.
