XBox vs XBox

A legal battle is brewing that may delay the anticipated fall launch of the Microsoft XBox video game console system. Apparently a Florida based business software development company named XBox Technologies trademarked the name XBox several months before Microsoft announced the same name as the title of their game system. Now, neither company is willing to give up its chosen name. The CEO of XBox Technologies has stated, “We can’t afford to have our business confused with games for kids. Either we find a business solution or we get into a legal battle”. Microsoft has responded with the simple statement, “We’re certainly confident about what the outcome will be – we will prevail.”
