Genshiken: Second Season Anime Announced

Publisher Kodansha has formally announced the development of an anime adaptation of Shimoku Kio’s comedy manga Genshiken Nidaime (Genshiken: Second Generation). The first 9 collected volumes of Kio’s Genshiken manga were adapted into a 2004 anime television series and a 2006 OVA series that led into a 2007 second TV series. The manga’s “second season” begins with its 10th collected volume. Kodansha’s announcement does not specify the length for format of the new anime.
