2013 Anime Mirai Trailer

The Anime Mirai investment & production program has released a trailer for its 2013 productions. Beginning in 2011, the Anime Mirai program collaborated with the Japan Animation Creators Association to distribute money provided by the Japanese government’s Agency for Cultural Affairs to selected anime production studios that would produce short films as a means of providing hands-on training for novice professional animators. The third annual selection of shorts includes Gonzo’s Ryo, ZEXCS’s Aruvu Rezuru: Kikai Jikake no Yousei-tachi, Trigger’s Little Witch Academia, and MADHOUSE’s Death Billiards. The four short films will premiere in limited theatrical screenings beginning March 2 before getting TV broadcasts.

While the narrative of Aruvu Rezuru doesn’t obviously appear very exciting, there’s a lot of really impressive animation quality in this trailer footage.
