Sentai Announces License Rescues
|Sentai Filmworks has announced plans to re-release the Gatchaman television series & OAV series, most of the Di Gi Charat anime, and the Godannar television series.
AD Vision previously released the 105-episode Gatchaman television series on domestic DVD, and Urban Vision released the 1994 OVA series. Sentai Filmworks will release the complete TV series with OVA series on DVD & Blu-ray in October. The three-episode OVA series will also be released separately on DVD.
Sentai Filmworks now holds distribution rights to the Di Gi Charat TV series and its 3 OVAs, and the Winter Garden two-episode TV mini-series. The 16-episode TV series was previously released on domestic DVD by Synch-Point. Sentai will re-release the TV series on DVD in October.
AD Vision released the 2003 Shinkon Gattai Godannar robot anime series on domestic DVD in 2006. Sentai will re-release the series on DVD in October.
A re-release of ’72 Gatchaman will be especially welcome since after-market collector prices for several of the original AD Vision DVD sets are now astronomical.
