New DVD Announcements

AD Vision has confirmed that the first 2 DVDs of Robotech will be released on May 22. Each disc will contain 6 episodes and retail for only $14.95. AD Vision has not yet provided detail on any supplemental materials but has confirmed that after the entire series is released on individual discs, it will be released as a single boxed set.

Media Blasters will be releasing U-Jin’s Konai Shasei series as a DVD boxed set on June 26th. The 3 disc set will include Kitty Media’s Tales of Misbehavior, Tales of Sintillation & Tales of Titillation. There’s been no word on whether the DVD version will be subtitled only or include an English dubbed track. Also on June 26th, Media Blasters will release all 3 OAV episodes of Jungle de Ikou on a single DVD for $29.95 and a $39.95 DVD collection of the entire 13 episode Metal Fighter Miku TV series previously released on subtitled VHS by Software Sculptors.

Media Blasters will debut the incredible live-action Zeiram 2 on dubbed VHS and (hopefully bilingual) DVD on June 26th. Media Blasters will also begin branching out into non-anime related cult horror movie distribution on June 26th with the inaugural release from their new Shriek Show line, Lucio Fulci’s Demonia. Fans of ultra-graphic gore will be thrilled to have more uncut, uncensored Fulci on DVD beside the releases of The Beyond, New York Ripper, City of the Living Dead, Black Cat, Zombie and the upcoming house by the Cemetary from Anchor Bay Entertainment.
