Maiden Japan License Rescues Wings of Honneamise

Maiden Japan has announced plans to domestically rerelease studio Gainax’s acclaimed 1987 anime feature film Wings of Honneamise ~ Royal Space Force. Streamline Pictures theatrically screened an English dub of the picture in 1987 under the title “Star Quest.” Manga Entertainment released the picture on domestic VHS in 1995 and on DVD in 2000. Bandai Visual released the picture on American Blu-ray/DVD and HD-DVD/DVD combo packs in 2007. Maiden Japan will release the picture on bilingual DVD retailing at $29.98 and Blu-ray retailing at $39.98 on October 15.
