Yamamoto’s Ginga Senpu Braiger (“Galaxy Cyclone Braiger”) was loosely inspired by “Hissatsu” live-action samurai movie franchise and aired from 1981-1982. The Ginga Reppu Baxingar (“Galactic Gale Baxinger”) sci-fi adventure series loosely inspired by Japan’s historical Shinsengumi aired from 1982-1983. The Ginga Shippu Sasuraiger (“Galactic Whirlwind Sasuraiger”) series loosely inspired by Jules Verne’s novel Around the World in 80 Days aired from 1983-1984. The new “Jinraiger” sci-fi action anime will use the classic Chinese novel “Water Margin” as its theme.
