Yamada-Kun Animated Again

An animated TV series version of Hisaichi Ishii’s Nono-Chan manga will premier on the TV Asahi network in the Tokyo area on July 7th. Nono-chan began serialization in Asahi Shinbun as Tonari no Yamada-kun and was later renamed Nono-chan.

Studio Ghibli produced a feature film adaptation of the manga, entitled titled Tonari no Yamada-kun, in 1999.
