Patlabor 3 Details

First announced several years ago, apparently production is finally progressing on the third Patlabor motion Picture. The film will be directed by Fumihiko Takayama, best known for his work on mecha shows including Orguss, Gundam 0080, and Macross Plus, and will be based on the “Haikibutsu 13-go jiken” (“The Waste No.13 Incident”) portion of the Patlabor manga. Thus, the SV-2 will not face killer robots this time but genetically engineered monsters breaking out of their transport cages. The film is scheduled for release next spring.
