Anime in Auto Week

Continuing to prove that anime is slowly creeping into mainstream awareness, Auto Week Magazine has published a brief article about Initial D in its “…But Wait, There’s More” column for February 2, 2002. The article introduces Western automotive aficionados to Initial D because of the anime series’ focus on “real-life” Japanese street racing and suggests that the series may (emphasis on may as a very tentative possibility) come to American television.
