Bandai Owns Melty Lancer?

According to partially unconfirmed rumor published by Anime on DVD, it appears as though it will be Bandai that releases the Melty Lancer OAV series in America. AD Vision first announced the American distribution licensed to the series two years ago, but AD Vision’s David Williams has now reported, “We decided to pass on the title a long time ago.”

Melty Lancer is a 6 episode OAV series originally released in Japan in 1999 and produced by Gonzo Studios, the creators behind Gatekeepers, Vandread and Blue Sub No. 6. The sci-fi action series was based on a series of strategy role-playing games released to the Playstation.
