SNK Still Not Dead

Japanese company Playmore has opened its official Japanese website, which includes the statement that as of October 31, 2001, Playmore is now the sole owner of all of SNK’s former licenses and properties. The official site includes information on the upcoming Neo-Geo arcade system fighting game Rage of the Dragons, and announcements of Japanese priced-down Dreamcast re-releases of Garrou: Mark of the Wolves, Last Blade Final Edition, and, in a surprise announcement, an upcoming Japanese Dreamcast port of King of Fighters 2000, to be released this summer, that will includes new backgrounds and features not found in the Neo-Geo version.
