More Japanese Zombies Invade America!

According to Kung Fu Cult Cinema, Media Blasters, and not Miramax, has been confirmed as the American licensor of Ryuhei Kitamura’s live-action action/horror film Versus. The film is tentatively scheduled for limited theatrical release later this year before a wide home video release.

Synapse Films, the American distributor of the disturbing Japanese horror films Evil Dead Trap and Organ, and licensor of Japanese pornographic horror films Entrails of a Virgin & Guts of a Virgin, has been confirmed as the official American distributor of the crazy and wildly (pun intended) entertaining 1999 Japanese “rockabilly-UFO invasion-love story-zombie horror-comedy” Wild Zero. The film’s official English language tag-lines pretty much sum up the movie: “Rock’n’Roll Jet-Movie,” “Thrill, Speed, and Stupid Zombies,” “Trash and Chaossss!!!!”
