Tree of Palme North American Premier

The Waterloo Festival for Animated Cinema to be held on November 6th and 7th at the Waterloo Galaxy Cinema in Ontario, Canada, will host the North American premier of Tree of Palme, a little known science-fiction anime film directed by Takashi Nakamura, director of the wonderful “Totsuzen! Neko no kuni Banipal Witt” (AKA: “Catnapped!”). Five years in production, the film opened in Japanese theaters this past spring.

Palm no Ki, Spirited Away and Spriggan will be screened in subtitled versions. The Cowboy Bebop movie will round out the film festival, screened in its original unstranslated Japanese version.
