Mandarake USA Closing

Roughly three years after opening its American retail operations, Japanese anime retailer Mandarake has decided to withdraw from the American market. Mandarake USA confirms that its American retail store located in Santa Monica, CA, and its American mail order business, will close permanently by the end of this month. No reason is given. Mandarake specializes in pre-owned, rare, and out of print anime merchandise. The main Mandarake store in Shibuya, Japan, is one of the largest anime retail stores in the world.
