Di Gi Charat a Borders Exclusive

ICv2 News has learned that Viz Communications has agreed to provide the Borders bookstore chain with copies of the English language Di Gi Charat manga graphic novels six months before the books are available to other retailers. According to Mike Roberson of Viz, “We felt Di Gi Charat was a perfect mall product; the characters are ultra-cute, and shojo titles sell most of their copies outside the direct market.” Di Gi Charat volume 1 is available in Borders and Waldenbooks stores now. It will be available through other retailers on July 1st. Subsequent volumes will be released quarterly.
