News From Katsucon
|Anime on DVD has published some studio information revealed at last weekend’s Katsucon convention.
AD Vision: “AnimeTrax” has officially changed it name to “ADV Music.” The ADV shows broadcast during the Cartoon Network’s “Giant Robot Week” will be aired uncut. Bandit King Jing and uncut Sailormoon seasons 1 & 2 are now early in production. Those Who Hunt Elves Second, Blue Seed 2, and the Sorcerer Hunters OAVs will be going into production shortly.
Bandai: Bandai has licensed the Scryed anime TV series for American release, along with the live-action Mamoru Oshii directed films Red Spectacles, Kerberos, and Talking Head. The limited edition Please Teacher DVD 1 will be limited to 15,000 copies. The Geneshaft TV series will debut in May. Blue Submarine No.6, Angel Links, Crest of the Stars and Jubei-chan will be released in collected DVD sets in June.
Manga Entertainment: The American DVD version of Giant Robo is being delayed by licensing issues.
Media Blasters: Rurouni Kenshin will be edited when it’s aired on Cartoon Network. Blood will be edited out, and portions of the dialogue will be rerecorded for the Cartoon Network version.
