CPM Announces Cat Soup DVD

Central Park Media has officially announced that 2 different versions of the Cat Soup (Nekojiru-so) DVD will be released on September 9th. The DVD will include the OAV with optional subtitles for on-screen text (since the film has no spoken dialogue), a subtitled director commentary track, a subtitled interview with director Tatsuo Sato, a trailer, and an art gallery.

The OAV, described as “Hello Kitty on Acid,” will be released in a $19.99 standard edition, and a “Limited Edition ‘Liquid Art’ Package” version for $24.99. The “Liquid Art” Package, an innovative packaging concept that has never been done before for a DVD release, is so daringly different and unique that Central Park Media will not let the cat out of the bag until street date and no sneak peaks will be given prior!
