Takara to Buy Broccoli

According to Gamespot, Japanese toy company Takara plans to buy out Japanese character anime goods manufacturer Broccoli by October and make the company a full Takara subsidiary next year. Takara may be best known as the licensor of Transformers. Broccoli is the licensor of anime titles including Di-Gi-Charat and Galaxy Angel, and is the parent company of American anime distributor Synch-Point.
